Tim O'Keefe - December 15, 2005
Timmy... I have several pictures of that time when you and your Dad were jamming in the living room. I have made some photo's for you and also have some great other pictures I want to share with you and Kristen. Luv to you both, Wanda (WT)
Great song Timmy, by the late and great Conway Twitty! He, like your father,had/has a way with words to suit any circumstance! Thanks for sharing.
![]() | I guess we're a 'Lyrics' kind of family......My Father & I talked to eachother through music. I wrote this little piece of music in response to the oncoming circumstances. If you listen closely there is 'call & response' slide parts that are panned to the left & right speakers. For me......this is the sound of our souls communicating. S2S Dad!!! That is to say..........Soul to Soul If you don't mind I'll continue to share my experiances with you all.......you seemed to have shared so much with my Dad. If this doesn't work as a link just cut & paste into your browser.... timmy http://home.comcast.net/~tim.okeefe/Longing.mp3 |
![]() | I woke up cryin' late at night - when I was very young I had dreamed my father - had passed away and gone My world revolved around him - I couldn't lie there anymore So I made my way down the mirrowed hall and tapped upon his door. And I said, "Daddy, I'm so afraid! How would I go on, with you gone that way? Don't wanna cry anymore So may I stay with you?" And he said, "That's my job, that's what I do Everything I do is because of you To keep you safe with me ... That's my job, you see." Later we barely got along - this teenage boy and he Most of the fights it seems - were over different dreams We each held for me ... He wanted knowledge and learning - I wanted to fly out west "Said I could make it out there - if I just had the fare I got half, will you loan me the rest?" And I said, "Daddy, I'm so afraid Theres no guarentee in the plans I've made And if I should fail, who will pay my way back home?" And he said, "That's my job, that's what I do Ev'rything I do is because of you To keep you safe with me ... That's my job, you see." Every person carves his spot - and fills the hole with life And I pray someday I might - light as bright as he. Woke up early one bright fall day - read the tragic news After all my travels, I settled down - within a mile or two I make my livin' with words and rhymes - and all the tragedies Should go into my head and out instead - as bits of poetry. But I say, "Daddy I'm so afraid How will I go on - with you gone this way How can I come up - with a song to say, "I love you." "That's my job, that's what I do Ev'rything I do is because of you To keep you safe with me ... That's my job, you see." "Ev'rything I do is because of you To keep you safe with me." |
I remember the first time I had met Tim, several , several years ago. He had this big smile on his face and sparkling eyes that danced.. He never met a stranger.. To Tim they were all friends.. He never passed judgment on anyone. Over the years we became great friends. I couldn’t have ask for anyone better. He was always there for you in sadness or happiness. He always had a smile on his face and kind words to anyone he met, he had a knack to make you feel right at home no matter where he was at .I could say so much more about Tim but all of you know what I am talking about. In my opinion , Tim is one of the reasons that has made ES the success it has become, I believe he was the first to have get togethers. H e has brought so many, many people together that would have not other wise at his parties. Man they came from every state and Canada.. Tim, I will miss you greatly and will forever carry you in my heart, cause to me you are The Man, The Myth, The Ledged and will never be another like you. Rest in peace now and when the time comes , take Nancy’s hand and ride that big beautiful sky. Wanda

You were the most gracious host, and opened your home to us all. Thank you. Thank you for all the good times, and precious memories. Where-ever this road leads you, you take care cowboy. You will be dearly missed. I hope to see you on the other side for a shot of tequilla, but not sure, I think its hot where i am goin! ((((Timmer)))) Barry
![]() | Tim, I'm still amazed at your heart and generosity! You are such an inspiration to us all. I had been on this site less than a month, and had second thoughts about travelling down to one of your parties...you took the time to speak with me on the phone, you were genuinely concerned. And when I got there, the hug was from your heart, as it was from mine. You are a big man, inside, where it counts. We all love you - good ride, cowboy, good ride!!!! Kristy |
![]() | Timmers...they say a man can be judged by his many friends. Well, you have touched the hearts of many. We will miss you, Cowboy. As for me, I'll never forget the first Timmers party I attended, the welcome you extended, the light in your eyes and warm smile. From the first moment I met you, you were special. Farewell my friend....till we meet again. rose |
