It keep it interesting, I will explain the barn names. All are quarter horses except Cruella - CHANCE - because we took a big one buying him w/o a vet check.... but never regretted it! JESSE - rhymed with "JET" which he was used to, and I had to change it quick! (I had several friends with horses named Jet at the time.) RUSTY - because he was bright sorrel -he's the one I lost to colic back in May.... CRUELLA - (Cruella Deville from movie "1001 Dalmations") she is a pretty b/w paint, but is very mean to our geldings and is pastured alone! Talk about alpha mare!! But very sweet w/people. CASH - my daughter was hoping to win lots with him!!! I have had others with interesting names: Samatha - a "witchey" mare Toby - a sweet, gentle gelding Decker - part of his reg. name, On Decker BJ - initials of his name, Blazing Jay Bars I love them all, they hold a special place in my heart... even the ones who broke a few of my bones and laid me up for awhile! This is a fun topic! My TWH gelding that I bred and raised, and continue to trail ride, is named The Man About Town. He was born in 1992, sired by my breeding stallion Man Of Pride. Of course I wanted to think of a "Man" name for him. On the night he was born, I was watching the TV series Knot's Landing, and one of the characters in the story was being featured in a magazine called "The Man About Town". As soon as I heard it, I said, that's gotta be it.

My Arabians are now into 4th generation breeding, and I still own AB Hombre, who started me on my journey, Passion really, of my love affair with the breed. He is 27 now and Iv'e never know another horse who revels in just being a horse llike he does. Every day is enjoyed to the fullest by him, and he even taught me how to show ih halter in our younger days. We won, too! so here's the list of his family AB Hombre, aka Bud (Hi Win Monic x Aymont Nomry Wahd) his daughter AB Brezanna, aka Stinky (Hombre x Napoleanna) 2 granddaughters: Unforgettabold, aka Alex(Bold Ladd Ora x Brezanna) Bold Sorcess aka Sasha (Bold Ladd Ora x Brezanna) and the latest, his great G Daughter Exquisitely Moniet AKA Little Sweetie or Little Chit depending on the day (Bold Sorceress xKardinal Syn) The really COOL part in all this is I bought Hombre in Fla. in 1987, moved to NC in 2001, and when I met the registered owner of Sweeties sire to sign the breeders certificate, we got to talking Arabians and I learned that he owned Hombre's dam for the last few years of her life!! Coincidence or Fate??? Sweetie shows so much of Hombres personality, inquisitiveness and intelligence, it is incredible to watch her. I once took lessons on a QH named Sorry about That, Sorry for short. It seems that when his owners tried to register him, they got a letter from AQHA saying Sorry about that, but that name has been taken. After several tries at different names with the same result, AQHA named him for them!

Easy te Skip--named after derby horse Easy Goer, 18 yrs ago..aka Skipper....best horse on the place. photo #2 foundation bred. I used to live 30 miles from Churchill Downs and named my babies every year after the derby favorite. Sugar Coming Thru, "Sugar" cause she is so sweet and the best penning horse anywhere, the mare in the world show pic. She qualified and took me to the world every year I ask her to. Has never let me down and never misses a cow. Doc Bar top and bottom. photo #3. Docs Gold Two Win, "Spider"..after born while still on the ground, a spider was crawling up his neck, thus the name stuck. 7 yrs old, he is turning out to be a good roping horse....golden palamino. Doc Bar/Two Eyed Jack. Sheza Genuine Blonde--2 yr old palamino filly aka "Sandy". named after the sweet mare on the movie Stripes. Doc Bar on top and bottom, out of Sugar my penning mare and Genuine Doc. Will go to the reining trainer as a 3 yr old to be started slowly. Until then she is ponied on trails and hauled to ropings, pennings, where ever we can take her. This little gal is beautiful and will be awesome! She is willed to Annie, aka Willie 455. :) photo #7 taken at 4 months. TJ--one of the best roping horses in this part of the country and ornery! Sadie the grandkids horse. Has a goofy gait but safe for anyone. Next horse around here is already prenamed Kota after sweet baby girl. That's it...I am procrastinating and have to get back to cleaning the house! Ugh!

My horse's name is Reveille Sir (out of General Scott and Miss Reveille), but I just call him Sir. And, like all my other animals, he has a middle name. It's Damnit.

Bozo is my old gelding - he was so ornery that had no name until he was 2 and then I had to come up with something that could be said in public (and he was named long before the famous Bozo). Toad was his brother - always fat as a Toad... Egor lost his eye when he was 3 months old, hence his name. Monster - because he was so big when he was born. Goober - because he was such so goofy. Cazadora - spanish for The Huntress.

I have a registered Half Arabian named "Zippos Strongheart" (aka Thunder) because, as a two year old, he ate a bunch of toxic plants and should have died. He had a very strong will to live and despite some liver damage and terrible wounds on his legs and neck, he let me give him steroid and antibiotic injections twice a day for weeks, and trim dead skin off his wounds as it peeled off. He is very playful and curious and has a lot of horrendous scars, but is totally healthy and sound now at age 5. He is half Paint as well and goes back to Zippo Pine Bar, hence the "Zippo". The "Strongheart" is because he fought so hard to live. I ride him and show him and always have people ask me if what he's got is contagious, but everyone loves his personality and he's got a really cute face.
