Thanks, everyone!!! Now to answer a few questions: Tammylee: No, Maxx is not jealous one bit! Ron spoils him rotten, and Maxx even runs to Ron and tries to hide from me when he's getting scolded for something. You didn't ask, but my horses have accepted him as well. Even my stallion who has never liked men, thinks Ron is okay, too! George: LMAO @ wondering if he can stand up to your and JoeMike's teasing. Ron is a native Texan, a former PRCA bull and bareback rider... He not only could deal with you guy's line of BS, he can hold his own when shoveling it right back at ya! Ron had planned to be at EMM, but because of all the rain we got last weekend, he's had to cancel to take care of another commitment he had that was rained out. Guess you'll just have to wait and come to the wedding in April to give him your "inspection". Cutiepie: SILLY WOMAN!!! Do you think I'd even consider marrying a man that would protest me getting together with my friends? LMAO! Of course, when you come to town, we will still go dancing and have fun just like we always have in the past. If Ron can join us, he probably will. But if he doesn't, I'll still be there, GF! Seriously though, the reason our relationship works so well is that we have trust in one another, AND we are both terribly independent people. He understands my close ties to friends and isn't jealous or insecure about it. We share many interests, but there are a few that we don't. Things would have never lasted past a week together if either one of us had tried to control or limit the other one. So, bring those dancing boots, GF, and I'll be waiting when you get here! **A few people have privately congratulated me, and it has touched my heart to know my friends share in my happiness. And since I've been single so long (by choice), I have been asked by a few why Ron was so different from all the rest I've met. This is one of the reasons I knew he was "the one": Over the months, Ron and I had talked about everything there is to discuss.... our dreams for the future, our disappointments from the past, what we would/would never tolerate from a partner, where to live, etc... By the time he proposed, I was pretty sure of my answer already. He had mentioned that he would have liked to have known my Dad, and if he was alive, Ron would have talked to Dad about us getting married. Then we went to the barn to feed. I was standing there petting Oracle, the stallion I rescued from an abusive home 20 years ago. I told Ron "You can't ask my father, but you can ask my horse instead!" AND HE DID!!! Ron was quite serious when he asked permission, and he went on to tell my horse all the reasons why he wanted to marry me. The very last thing he said was "I will love and take care of her for the rest of her life. And I will take care of you too, because I know how much you mean to her." My horse stopped eating, and turned and laid his head on Ron's shoulder and nuzzled him. I knew right then and there I picked the right cowboy, and I said "YES!" <GRIN> Jacquie
