Chattanooga, TN Wanda.... I am so happy for you and Neener and her family....... God loves each and everyone of us...in so many ways. He sees the beginning and the end of our paths...and all the twists of those paths, in between. Troubles come and go, for everyone. Its how we react to those troubles, that makes the difference in our lives. For some, troubles send them running from God, but for others, they run to God, for they know that in Him, they will find rest and comfort. I've always claimed Psalm 91 as my own. I know that we can rest in the shadow of the Almighty...and He will protect us. Even things that seem to be bad, He can use for our good. Isaiah 39 says that even our great bitterness is intended for our good. I am so grateful that Neener is getting stronger each day. You have been faithful and true to both your daughter and to our incredible God. Tell Neener I send my love to her... Shadow.... |

Wellington, KS I give thanks to our Father and Lord Jesus Christ for his mercy and grace and power . . .
He has heard the prayers of love and seen the tears . . . and has given Neener a second chance . . . and has given us all a miracle to strengthen our faith.
Thank you, Lord, for hearing the prayers of love for Neener. None of the prayers contain more love than what YOU have for Neener, whether she lives here on Earth or with You in Heaven, for you created her and have been with her since before she was born . . . yet we thank you for hearing the prayers of Your people, especially the prayers of Neener's mom and family.
Jesus, You are so good to us . . . thank you, so much for Your Mercy.
I rejoice with you, Wanda. (((((hugs from Kansas))))) |
| Wanda, Praise the Lord for such wonderful news that Neener will be going home to do her rehab at the end of this week. I am so thankful to all the caregivers she had at the Advanced Care Hospital in Billings!! Miracles definitely happened there! Continuing to keep all of you in my thoughts and prayers for more progress everyday. If you think Neener will enjoy more cards, please let us know. God Bless your entire family. Barb |

East Wenatchee, WA Interesting thoughts on this popular misquote from the Bible "God Won't Give You More Than You Can Handle"
How frequently we hear these words offered in pressing times, usually followed by the words "I wish He didn't have so much faith in me" paraphrased people are saying something along the order of "God will keep you from being overwhelmed." But is that what is actually promised? I don't think so.
"I am a Christian and I am pathetic and God knows better than to have faith in me. I have faith in Him. But bad things happen that we can't explain. Sin and evil surround us. But so does God's love. If I believe that God doesn't give me more than I can handle, the focus is taken off of God and is put on me." ~ Suzanne Clark
The verse that is so often misquoted is actually about temptation. Paul is warning the Corinthians against idolatry and immorality like that engaged in by the Israelites in the desert (1 Cor.10:6-11). The actual promise, found in 10:13 is that God will not let us be tempted beyond our ability but will provide a way of escape so that we can withstand the temptation without giving into sin.
If Paul really intended to make a general statement about God never giving Christians more than they could handle, then we'd have a hard time explaining his own testimony in 2 Corinthians 1:8.9: "For we were so utterly burdened beyond our strength that we despaired of life itself...But that was to make us rely not on ourselves but on God who raises the dead."
In my experience, God loves to give me more than I can handle. Otherwise, I wouldn't be as dependent on Him as I need to be.
Trials bring us closer to God! Thank goodness for trials!!
Wanda, what a wonderful healing, God is certainly honored and glorified in
Neeners recovery... Praise God!!

| Wanda: I am so happy to hear the report of Neener's progress. Months ago I had my doubts , but prayed with all my heart that if it was God's will Neener would be returned to her family who love her so much. I do believe that this is God's plan for all of you. I continue to pray that she recovers to a full and productive life. Know that we all are so happy to share in this miracle, and pray for her full recovery. Steve |
