Keeping TexasBay in your thoughts and prayers

WOW! Thanks everybody!!! You have touched my heart with all the support and prayers! I actually have naso-pharyngeal cancer, which is the area your nose canal connects to your throat, kind of above your soft pallet. From what I understand, it's a fairly rare cancer in the US and they attribute it directly to smoking. If you smoke, please stop. I promise it will be worth it! I am trying to get into MD Anderson in Houston. They have state of the art EVERYTHING and I will get the latest, greatest, cutting-edge cancer treatment available. If I do get to go to MDA, I'll be living in Houston for about 2 months. My oncologist here told me that the treatment would be 7 weeks (5 days a week)of radiation, while taking chemo at the same time. The chemo is a round of 3 treatments, each 21 days apart. After the radiation is complete, I'll take another round of 3 treatments of chemo, only it'll be a different drug. Of course, the doctors at MDA may prescribe a completely different treatment plan, but from what I understand, this is the standard treatment for this cancer. I got GREAT news yesterday when I went to the radiology oncologist. The cancer hasn't metastisized past the lymph glands in my neck! That's HUGE!! So, I'm doing fine. God is so good to me. I have been given so many awesome opportunities already, and He has surrounded me with friends (near and far) that pray for me and support me. I know that I have some big problems, but I have a bigger God. People probably thought that Peter was naive when he stepped over the side of that boat thinking he could walk on water, but his faith literally allowed him to walk on water! Some people probably think I'm naive too, but I'm going to step over the side of that boat with Peter and believe that God is going to fully heal me! It's not going to be fun, but He's going to get me through it. Thank you all for the amazing support and love you have shown me. You are ALL awesome people and friends, and I couldn't ask for anything better! My cup runneth over. :-) Have a wonderful week and weekend, and I'll update you all as I know more! Love and blessings to you all, Vaughn

Vaughn, On behalf of the friendship you shared with Frostbite and the kindness you have shown to me over the years, I pray that you will see the Lord's working in your life through people who love Him . . . and that you will experience His healing and be able to tell the story of your walk of Faith. Many warm hugs. Holly
