I still can't believe you are gone Jay. We had so many good times together and were planning for more. I stop often at your gravesite and visit with you, sharing a shot of Crown (although, you keep making me drink yours too, LOL!) I feel blessed to have known you and miss you dearly. We shall meet again someday...Rest in Peace my Dear Cowboy! <3<3

You will be sorely missed my friend. I'm sure you're at the best rodeo ever right now...I can't wait til the day we all will be joined together for the best ride of your lives...

What a special guy! You will be missed Jay. You were always more concerned about others than you were about yourself. May God hold your family and friends in His hand and comfort them. Dios vaya con usted.

This was a shock...was about to send him a message on Facebook that I would be in New Mexico In June and hoped we would finally go for that ride together...If there is a God In Heaven my friend May he have a good rope horse for you to ride..SJ

It is with a very sad heart that I write this. I am in Australia & had known Jay on here & FB for a few years. We were going to become a couple. The night before his accident, he messaged me. I was trying to help a friend with a political campaign & didn't get back to Jay right away. It was strange because on the day of his accident a huge flock of grey & pink galahs flew overhead...they were making so much noise - I've never seen so many before. I felt compelled to write to him on FB about it, not knowing of the accident. I wondered why I didn't hear back from him. Then somebody told me what had happened - it was a shock. A very good friend said to me that when things like this happen, one of the best things you can do is plant a tree in the person's memory. They went out & brought me the most beautiful white magnolia tree. It's now planted in Jay's memory in the top horse paddock. He had so much living to do. His friends loved him & he was a great family man. I guess in retrospect, I shouldn't have sat on the fence post & I should've got to him sooner. Life is short & Jay was one of the very best. I'll always miss my buddy...
