Get Well Williow,
I was going to send a card, and while searching for an address, noticed you would be moving around some, so will do it here on the site.
God Speed for a speedy recovery. Try not to push it, because our bodies tend not to heal as fast as we would like.. Listen to the advice of all the doctors and nurses and people who know you well. Don't get discouraged if things aren't going as fast as you expected. Just like training, slow and steady produces better results than being in a hurry and the foundation is not there. Pretty sure the same things with our bodies. Thanks for explaining the accident, you just never know, even the best horse has bad days, like us. Glad that you were in a place where you could get medical care quickly.
Keep the Faith, that everything is going to work out, and that things happen for a reason. It may take years to figure this one out, but things don't happen in our time. I know I am trying to figure out why my little voice said wear a helmet the day I landed in the road, out like a light. No serious injuries just a concussion and aches and pains for months. The paint had a deju moment that day, but did not give up on riding my other horse, so not to miss riding season.
Take Care and think positive and happy thoughts, though there will be times I am sure where that will be easier said than done.
God Bless and Keep a Cowgirl Attitude, Kathy, Dawnsdreamer

Lisa,
Thank you for the update and also explaining the accident. What a terrible and scarey ordeal for you!!
Here in central Oregon you have many new friends who pray daily for you and constantly ask about any new updates from you. It goes much, much further than that as this prayer has branched out across the entire country.
We are asking Jesus to knit you back together perfectly and believing for Him to do so. When you have no strength left just lean on Him girlfriend.
Thank you for keeping us updated so we know how to pray!
Love you ~ Kim

good morning ES friends ;) i want to thank each and everyone of you for your prayers, thoughts and kind words. i am moving from the University of Michigan hospital in the afternoon. i will be transfered by a gwad awful ambulance to Herrick Hospital in Tecumseh, MI. After 2 weeks in house pt i will return here. i had a bit of a set back on progress as my left leg will not hold weight, nor can i move it to walk. seems to be some kind of internal breakdown of communication, thus making pt impossible here at the UofM
the story begins memorial day. getting ready to hit the trails after a weekend of riding n camping.. my gf n i stopped at friends camp to say we were headed out. i was riding my "nice" horse B00. i asked her to back up, she refused. i set the reins low and added steady pressure encouraging her to find her own release. ... she did,,,, she reared up n over. she hit my forehead on they way up ... lights out for me. as she fell she pinned me in the saddle under her. she laid right on her back on top of me n did not move, guess she also was stunned friends grabbed her legs n tried to move her enough to pull me out. AT THIS TIME SHE freaked out got up spinning and kicking...i was hung up in a stirrup...she commenced to dancing a jig on my body.
more to come...have to take a breather....
