Hello everyone. My sister is getting worse and not expected to make but another day or two. I am so thankful for all your thoughts and prayers.

Thanks to everyone for your prayers. My sister shows a little bit of progress every week. She can swallow small sips of water. It will take a while before she can eat more or attempt to feed herself so they put a tube in her stomach for nutrition. She is showing more signs of knowing people when they come in and smiling, saying hi, etc. But, being in the hospital for almost six weeks now she is too weak to do things for herself. And there is still a chance there is some damage from the seizures, only time will tell. There's a good possibility of her going to rehab in a week or so to start working on building up her strength and being able to do things for herself. Things are definitely looking up and again, I thank everyone for your thoughts and prayers.

Update. My sister lost her small progress and was unresponsive for over a week. She also got pneumonia and has been in ICU for six days. However she is recovering from that and yesterday got moved to a regular room. Also, they're now thinking the problem is meds that were removed when she was admitted out of concern for side effects. So two days ago they added one back and yesterday she was again squeezing our hands and gave us a smile and said hi. Looks like it might be working! Praise God! We're so happy. Praying that she will come all the way back but grateful she recognizes us and is responding a little.

Update - My sister has shown a little improvement this week. She is responding to requests to squeeze hands and has said Hi and Morning. Don't know where it will end up but it's definitely good news! Will see her this weekend. Thanks for your prayers and would appreciate continued prayers.

Hello Everyone, Thank you for your prayers. The need for them continues. Seizures look to be under control but this exposed another problem. Critical low level of B1 vitamin. After treatment (the technical term is Beriberi Disease) some ppl get completely better, some only show limited improvement and some will have no improvement. They are treating this but she is now in a coma and improvement, if any, will not be for a few more days.
