Thank you so very much for this topic! I miss all you all. I am still in Kentucky and love it here. I have been to the International Rolex once and not yet to the Kentucky Derby because it is always the week before finals. I just finished 2 semesters of Quantum Mechanics. It was brutal, but I feel accomplished. I will be finished with my 2nd bachelors next Spring. Only 2 more classes to go! Unfortunately, 1 is offered only in Fall and the other only in Spring. Losing financial aid, classes offered only a certain semester and cancelled classes have made it a long haul. This semester, I was inducted into the Physics National Honor Society, Sigma Pi Sigma. Even as an undergraduate, I have been hired as a Teacher's Assistant in the Physics Department and tutored numerous other subjects (mostly Math) for the University of Kentucky Athletes. And of course, been working on research for some of the professors. I am drawn to cellular regeneration, particularly wound healing, so will be applying to grad school w/ that emphasis. I am looking at schools in VA, so I won't be so far from my daughter and granddaughters. My service dog (Phoenix) of 12 years, just passed away May 5th and that has been very rough. I still have my Haflinger. I am leaving for CA for the rest of the summer and arranging a family reunion. My dad has just been diagnosed with terminal cancer, so it will be a happy and sad reunion. Saw this just now ~ great idea. It seems so many have gone their own way for one reason or another. I guess social media has had an impact on sites like this ~ but I truly enjoyed this site when things were so lively and there were a lot of activities and events taking place ~ The Extreme Mustang Shows, gatherings at Stagecoach Ballroom, and other events and trail rides. I miss those days ~ and the friends I made. So, my update would state that I still reside on my farm with a couple of paint horses, a dog and an "I'm NOT a barn kitty" cat. Still love horses and riding, working on my place, dancing and music, anything outdoors,,,,and hoping to cross paths with and turn the head of a cowboy gentleman who is partial to blondes and wants a riding buddy, a best friend,,,,and is looking for his "girl" ~ God bless each of you, happy trails to all!

My goodness where do I start.. I do stop in from time to time but there is never anyone in chatroom. :( Busy with work and my Horse, surprisingly I only made it to the beach a few times this summer. Still single I haven't met a Horseman yet that is keep-able. lol My focus in 2017 is to finish getting my mare ready to start doing some Competitive Obstacles Trail classes and maybe some Ranch classes in the Spring. What a wonderful idea! Still enjoying the Georgia sunsets and my horses. Sold the Lady, the one you all gave me advice on how to bond with her. She is now working for a living for a woman who competes locally in a variety of horse sports. I started teaching for the local college and am waiting for a full-time opening. Yuuup, still single. My sister calls me "Desperado" from the Eagles song. I don't get it, but she said something about "been out riding fences for so long, now." Guess I have become a bit of a field horse. My only regret is not going to the dance at the Fort Worth Ballroom and missing out on meeting you all. God is great and life is good out here.

I'm still around and single. I'm in the process of changing jobs again...hopefully this will be the last job change. Horses are fine, sold my sheep this fall. I pop into chat every now and again. Looking forward to the holidays. Cher

Mostly working and having fun with my boys (horses). Currently having fun with gymkhana (anyone outside of CA ever heard of it??), planning to go to NFR for a couple days this Dec (anyone else going?), older, fatter but loving life and looking forward to what the future holds! Hoping to buy property someday, maybe out of state, haven't decided yet but I want green pasture for my boys to enjoy.

Hi, Still riding, still working, still clearing trails, hiking, scrambling in the rocks. Turn 68 on the 23rd Nov. Hips replaced 3 years ago and it worked well! My short hair pointer, cat woke me on the 23 of January , the other dog was at the bottom of the stairs, I got down them in time to see the fire explode and flash up the stair case, second time that Pointer has saved my bacon. Moved across the yard to another house and owners rebuilding a log home so am very fortunate. Power surge started heating in TV center, also laser printer. MY mare foaled a lovely Arab Andalusian cross filly that turned 3 July 14th. She has been very gentle and calm, easy to work with and is well started under saddle. I have 5 horses, one at 28 years and retired for all but leading to give grand boys a ride. My daughter and her partner have his daughter, her step daughter, age 14 and two sons, 4 and 2. My son has met a woman I believe will become his life partner. I still live on an acreage near Jasper National Park, still a bachelor anchored to and by my home and animals. Good to see some nicks here that I recall. I have not signed in for months and wanted to retrieve some poems. Wish everyone happiness and ease in your lives. Hearthman, Alex Reavie

I left Texas after Katrina and moved to Louisiana, best decision I ever made ! Walked away from a 30 year career to Become a Fraternity House Mom at LSU (GEAUX TIGERS !)Love my boys and they make me laugh daily. Right now I am at Mizzou and hate it.. hoping to get back to Louisiana within the year. Don't stop by here much anymore but love seeing what everyone is up to these days !!
