It is a Community Site
![]() | But admin, I am a slow reader (it's an age thing I think) and I was in the process of reading that book and poof it was gone. I just knew, sooner or later the term horse would be there somewhere. I personally want to think you for keeping this an interesting message board to read. There are very few circumstances where I would take the time to read what so many have to say. In all my years around horses and horse people I never cease to learn something new almost everytime I open up these pages. It is not always popular when you cut some comments but I understand why you do it even when you censor me. My only complaint is you need a spell checker on here for careless writers like me. I can spell, I just don't always take the time to do it. This is indeed a community site and I am grateful you guys allow old married people like Evelyn and I to hang around. And Nickie...wow! I may have to remind you guys more than once, but regardless of the little hill I have to climb I will be on Doc Holiday at the Magic in January. |
![]() | Wow, NT... That is the most wonderful description of the ES community that I've heard. It says it all. Members like Tim and others that have made great friends here and/or found true happiness, continue to demonstrate the true spirit behind ES. We were blessed to know them, grateful that a website brought these true friends into our lives. Our couples who are success stories that remain on the site are amazing people who continue to make a difference in Horses and people's lives. That is what makes ES a community and so much more than just a singles site. Thank you for these insightful posts. Admin P.S. We ask that members please stay on topic. Several replies that were not on topic of the ES community were removed. |
Boy, the good o days...I remember way back when I was happily single and my neighbor persuaded me to join ES. The old times in chat were the best for sure! Tim and Trew, Monte and Ben and dont forget Saddler and Ripper...Omgosh...they kept everyone in stitches. I've made so many life long friends. I had the honor and pleasure of my relationship with Tim which forever changed me. Then I met my husband and life just keeps getting better. I sit the fence now being married but still participate when I can. Meeting George and Evelyn, attending their Memorial day deal, and following them in their mustang endeavors has been a highlight of my life. What an inspiration they have been. I love my ES girlfriends...Esta,Annie, Jen, Cheryl, Sheryl, Yvonne, Judy, Trew, Cindy, Shelley, Debbie, Kristin, Evelyn,Wanda, Melissa, and so many more. ES has certainly changed my life for the better. Nickie
![]() | Im sorry to hear that there are some close minded people that they will give flack to some of the people that have found happiness on this site, but as in life we all have to take the bad with the good.. I feel lucky to have found a site that has all kinds of information and alot of great people married or not that give support. I have been on here for a while now and have talked to both married and not and enjoy it so much I really look forward to meeting some of you in vegas and hope to continue meeting new friends in the future. |

![]() | Ah yes, the good old cyber-days. I recall the month and a half when I ran for chat room president with CowboyBen as my campaign manager. It was a story believed by most members until I threw in the part about CowboyBen, just days before the election, disappearing with my promiscuous secretary in the limo ES had so kindly donated for my cause. I still believe the part about the donated ES limo cost me the election. I also remember the innaugral Vegas gatherin at Gillies where, with the use of a Sharpie and a table napkin, I created an ES VIP sign and along with my cyber-cohort CowboyBen, we convinced everyone that we were representing ES and only invited guests were allowed to sit at the VIP table. When ES gals would come up and see the sign, we would pretend to check our "VIP" list which of course, just happened to include their name. I don't recall CowboyBen ever bein so happy. Then there was the time Admin decided to no longer offer the All Members chatroom for non-paying members. So, in a moment of brilliant dumbness, I created my own chatroom, ~All Members~. Everyone thought is was the original and free All Members room but non-paying members couldnt understand why they were not able to enter. Admin was immediately inundated with a bazillion emails from non paying members wanting to know why they couldnt get into the room. I think I got 30 days in the cyber-hole for that one. As my cyber-pard Saddler would say for months after, "It was classic" but alas, Admin never really saw the humor. I wont go into the time I started the Betty Ford Chat Center, or when I attempted to sue Admin for chatroom mental deterioration or the time I masqueraded as the Ralph Nader of Chat. I also recall, after initially meeting Timmer's in the chatroom and the two of us takin a particular dislike for each other, I offered to pay for his plane ticket so he could come to Az and try to beat me up but we decided to be good friends instead and as it turned out, I was with him at the end. Let's just say, in those days, it was the wild wild ES cyber-west...monte ps~ Admin paid to have a shunt installed in my brain and I have settled down a bit... |

Was Browsing the message boards this A.M., as I find myself missing some of the many friends of the past that were very near and dear to my heart,,,came across this one,,and just had to bring it back to the top,,,,The "topic" to me was not nearly as important as the sensation of closeness that so many of us "old timers" shared,,and also the memories of the many Wonderful Friends I had made that have since Passed away. I have to admit,,the site itself has shown changes,,,,,as time often changes all things but, after all these years,,I can still say that I will never regret signing up. I am like Washy,,,I come in here more for the socializing of folks that share the kind of lifestlye that is so dear to my heart,,,,and for the heartfelt friendship that most of the folks in here glady offer to each other,, than for "searching" for a lifelong partner,,,(should that happen, it would just be a plus),,, Here's to remembering the many wonderful folks that have since passed,,,ie, Dakota123, KCJones, Cowboyben,Timmers,,as well as to those that hold special places in our hearts for one reason or another,,,ie. Trainer,,Washy,War,,Rancher2,,Jeanie2,,WT,,Flaxen,,Rain,,Badgersnot,Cloudy,CowboyMJK,,Kowboy53 Gifted,,Bay,,GlenH,,and the many others,,,,too many to mention them all,,, Thank you all for such a wonderful way to make awesome, and dear friends!
