If any one else is affected that needs anything let me know, and I will try to get it to them, if any one has stuff needing to go in I don't mind taking as much as I can in we should be going back and forth daily. I have permit to go anywhere I need to. Just let me know if I can help.

I just received word from Jen that her mail is running, so if anyone wants to send her a care package, here's her address: Jen Fry P.O. BOX 883 Colmesneil, TX 75938 Thanks for all your help!

Jenna.....I don't really know how to get a care package to her. I KNOW that it would be very welcome tho! She has sent her daughter to her moms' and she is enrolling her in school there....so Chelsea is not there. In earlier posts, Jen posted her phone number offering to help others, so I don't think she would mind you calling her. Her phone has been working off and on, so keep trying her. If someone is going that way, maybe they can deliver some care packages to her! I can't go this weekend, but will try to go next weekend. Thanks for caring Jenna!!!!! Storms

I just spoke with the Texas Department of Agriculture. They have given us authorization to drop off hay at the Ford Center, which is the local distribution center for Beaumont, Texas. (You must have permits to exit off I-10 etc.) A local hay broker that I know in the Austin area will deliver the hay on Saturday morning as Tom was not going to be available for another week. He is in Belmont offering help to people that were hurt by Rita. This broker has already delivered a truck load to the Lone Star Equine Rescue. We felt it was important to get the hay tnere asap. He will charge us $6.00 a bale which includes freight/diesel for really nice coastal hay. He will deliver 300 bales. Will keep everyone posted. We are planning on being there Saturday am at this time. We will also try to get a truckload of feed down there next week. Thanks!

I think Tom is going to bring Jen a generator. I gave her his number. Previous post: I spoke to Jen and gave her Tom's cell phone number. She was going to call him. Between Tom and William, I'm sure it will be a big help. If anyone already has information about a distribution/staging area to deliver hay and feed to this area, please let me know. You can email me or reply here. You don't have to be premium to post on the Emergency Management Catagory.

Storms, Is there an address where we might be able to send her a care package or something??? Do they have everything they need such as cloths, necessities, etc??? I know she has a youngin that must be bored to tears... My team might be flying back into her area soon and there is a possibility I could take her some things if all works out right... I cannot help out with a generator as mine is already down in LA, but would like to be able to help her out somehow. Let me know, Jenna

Hey Everyone.....we have a member in need!!!! JEN....txctrygal.....was hit pretty hard by RITA. She is without power and will be without it for a month, minimum, according to what they have told her. She has no water either. She said the whole community is really bad. They are giving them the military food, which she said was better than nothing, but tasted bad. She is in need of a generator. If someone could let her borrow one, she would appreciate it alot! William is going to take her feed and hay for her horses in the next few days.

I have a 1 1/2 acre unused pasture, good fence and grass, and even room in the house for anyone who needs to get cool and can't get back home for awhile. I'm about 50 miles NW of Houston. Angela

Hi... just wanted to let everyone know that we got out safely... but it was an ordeal. My two girls, me, 8 horses, 4 dogs, 4 birds and my potbellied pig were on the road for 31 hours straight. We were almost ran out of diesel twice and were so scared to get stuck on the highway, but we finally made it to safety. Two of our birds escaped though and we felt terrible about that. It was hard on my girls and my animals but we are glad to be safe. We can't wait to get back to Beaumont, but they are telling us anywhere from next Monday to 6-8 weeks. We just don't know. We are living in an old buggy farmhouse with no ac and man is it hot. But at least we have a roof over our heads and we can pray for a cool front!
