Weimar, TX I live half a mile from the I-10, between Houston and San Antonio. It has been terrible - bumper to bumper, people desperate to get gas and water. Lines two miles long for people trying to exit at Weimar to get gas - police having to direct the traffic. I've taken in 3 people and a dog...helped people towing a horse trailer with two horses get a tire fixed and back on the road. Tragic to see the exhausted people. |
| dont forget most fairgrounds have power hookups if traveling by RV or horse trailer,,,maybe also stalls for temp. use... |

Central, TX Houston Mayor has now requested people not in the coastal areas to stay put due to gridlock. One of our members left Houston at 11am with 3 evacuated horses. He has been in traffic ever since. It is hot 95+ degrees, humid, and horses are standing in hot trailers on I 45. So before anyone heads down there or tries to head out, please consider all your options.
Thanks |

Lovelady, TX we are still here preparing, looks like were gonna get it. I sent a trk and trailer to bay town wednesday at 11:00 am they picked up 13 horses and came back to crockett it took,25 hrs. there is very little gas anywhere around here. there have been to many wrecks to count on hwy 19, in houston county, everyone is very well prepared for this in our area. if you know any one evacing tell them to just keep trying, there is help out there. stop in any little town there are people that will try to help them, with directions to fuel or places to stay If any one is in our area and needs help let me know, I will see to it that some one gets out to you. |

| From txroadhossgal50:
Anyone needing a place to be safe...I can put up 6 people and have a empty holding pen for horses/livestock if need be. I just cut my hayfield but if a place for more horses/livestock is needed...that can be arranged also. Please provide your own feed if you grain your animals and I have plenty hay that I would help with.
Contact txrdhoss@hotmail.com or cell phone on 24hours (254)709-1465. I live in Riesel that is 15 miles from Waco if you need to know geographics. BE SAFE AND God Bless. Judy |
