Tim O'Keefe - December 15, 2005

13 years later and I still think of you. You were one of a kind and such a loss for the friends and family who knew and loved you! RIP Timmers!

This is the first year that I missed posting for the anniversary of Tim's passing so better late then to miss it. 8 years ago, on December 15th, ES lost a great friend when Tim lost his long battle with Cancer. Tim was loved by so many and his ES parties were legendary. For years, his house was ground zero for parties, benefits and the start of dozens of lifetime friendships. We miss you Timmers and think of you often. http://www.equestriansingles.com/profiles/viewprofile.asp?memberid=11632

Thank you for posting that David. I have not been in here for a while & was thinking about Tim when I saw this post. Tim was a good guy & is still thought of & missed.

David, Thank you for sharing the memories. Tim meant - and still means - so much to so many of us here.

Thanks David! I still miss my dear friend Tim!

Terribly late but... Tim and I spent about 12 years together in the United States Air Force at both at Davis-Monthan AFB, Tucson, AZ, and Beale AFB, Yuba City, CA. Tim taught me how to ride a motorcycle in Tucson. I believe Little Timmy was a toddler at the time and Kristen was just an infant. Tim also taught me how to snow ski in the Sierra Nevada Mountains in Northern California. Tim, Nancy and I skied regularly for about 6 seasons. I would visit the house on Beale AFB early in the morning for a day of skiing and often wake Little Timmy and Kristen. I sold my green Datsun 260Z to Tim. Tim's favorite music during those years? Z Z Top, the Allman Brothers and the Atlanta Rhythm Section. These cassettes were always blasting from the Chevrolet Malibu. Learning about Tim's passing while doing an internet search for USAF buddies is a shock. Instead of lamenting about Tim's passing I will honor the wonderful times that we spent together. For all the O’Keefe family (including Aunt Barbara) you can walk tall knowing that Tim is a great man. I will never forget my friend and companion Tim O'Keefe. David Vogel, MSGT, USAF, Retired

I think that we all would agree that knowing Tim was to be blessed. I didn't meet Tim through ES, but as a fellow Cutter and Horseman. Tim is a special sole that touched so many of us with his love, frendship and laughter. I believe Tim lived life to the fullest and is a great example for all of us that life can throw you a curve ball and how you catch it is up to you! I know that Tim is watching over us smiling that his EQ friends are still remembering him :) Wishing everyone a safe, healthy and blessed holiday! Holly
