Since so many members ask why the chat room name Dakota's lounge, I wanted to move this forward. Her story along with other news is featured in today's newsletter.

8 years ago we lost Dakota123... A chat room was named after her because ES was her only connection to the outside world. She passed away way too young. We miss you!

It saddens me to think about how many members we have lost in this past decade, but Dakota123 will always hold a special place in my heart. I noticed this post was moved up on the message board and I started to reflect on her, and all the other members we've lost. It's hard to believe it's been 4 years since Dakota left us; the time has passed so quickly. Dakota123, (like Tim, Frostbite, Ben, Terry, Gerts, and many others I've had the pleasure of meeting,) was one of our first members. For Dakota this site was everything to her. She was in chat every night. She rarely was able to get out of her house, yet she had friends, galore. When she passed we named a chat room in her honor. When I start to feel down, I remember Teresa, and my heart is suddenly full, knowing what a difference ES made in her life, and the life of so many others. One can only hope that she is up there in that big chat room in the sky with all the friends we have lost in this past decade. You are all greatly missed... Life is short, enjoy the ride! Marcia

Dakota, As a friend you really knew how to have a huge impact on people, I know i always enjoyed all our conversations, we became close, You were one very strong lady till the end. Im sorry it has taken me so long to write this condolence, My love and prayers to her parents, Power to Dakota's Dream PBR Bull. Now I have something to watch for. God bless you in heaven. Sherry

to Dakotas family, I am so sorry to hear this news, thank yall for bringing her to Tim's party where myself and many others got to meet her, she was truley an insperation to many people on here. I have known Roy since high school and just live 5 miles from him now, Roy you really gained alot of respect from me for your unselfish actions,(hope this bull never quits bucking) william

I"ve been reading the thread while I was not a member and now that I am decided to add my 2cents worth.Kota girl you are missed by all of us that knew you.Whether in person or only in chat.We know you are being watched by some very great Es'ers and riding our horses that have passed before us.I will be watching your bull and cheerin him on when I ever I can.You will always be missed.
