Im emailed with KC a few times and he seemed the to be the genuine article.
What a shock to to go with the intent of sending an email and learning this...
I'm sure his friends and family will sorely miss him.

Rich, you will be missed alot. I never got to meet you, but I saw you in chat. You and Dakota are flying high up there along with others that have passed on. To your family, I am very sorry for your loss. Rich, we will all see you all again someday.

I really enjoyed looking at the photos of Rich's last ride. He looked like he was having a great time. In Honor of Rich and Kota lets remember how fragile life is, let everyone around you that you care about know how much you love and care for them.

The pictures of Rich's Extreme Cowboy Race are posted at: www.merrickstudios.com. Pictures can be ordered from her website. She was the 'official photographer' for the race.
You can also see the rides of Renee Garrison (Nay44), Tracy Montague (TXBubbaGirl), and Marcus Wadley on there. (...and everyone else!!)

Rich you were an awesome man and a great friend. I will miss you terribly, but I know that some day our paths will cross again. Ride the heavens and when I see a beautiful sunrise or sunset I know you will be behind it.

My prayers go out to KC's family during this trying time. It's always hard to loose a loved one at any time, but espically without any warning. May the peace of God be with the family. Rich, I know you're having a ball now riding for as long as you like in the land without any night, with strength restored as in your youth. Wait for us and we, your friends, will ride together when we meet again.

Some thoughts about KC. Evelyn and I had the pleasure of knowing Rich for a couple of years. Not near long enough because our relationship with him was a good one. He attended most of our activites at the Circle G but also came down just to visit several times. We talked often about how fortunate we both were to still be doing what others have given up 20 years before.
Rich was a man that enjoyed horses and being around others that shared his passion. He did die doing something he loved doing, riding a good horse.
We will mourn his death today but soon we will be celebrating his life. I have the comfort of knowing he has gone with God and he is now on a mighty fine ranch with lots of good horses to ride.

Take a moment today...stop and pray...remember KCJones, his family, and especially his long-time girlfriend, Joyce.

KC Jones was living life to it's fullest. He was doing what he enjoyed most. You all should have seen him ride that last ride. He and his horse were showing us all a great partnership. The jumps, the spins, the great water crossing....etc. It was all very wonderful to watch. He did finish that race a true winner. He put his horse into the trailer and was suppose to run up the hill to the finish line here on earth......but instead.......ran up the hill to those beautiful golden gates where he will peacefully live with his father above and ALL his horse buddies that have gone before us. Yes....it was a sad day to watch for us.......but I hope everyone keeps their chins up......because........yes..........someday......we will be able to join Rich again......and live forever with him and our beautiful animals there in that wonderful green pasture made only for us horse people.
Yes......we will all dearly miss Rich right now.....but, I can't wait to someday join that great cowboy above. His life, his soul, his spirit and his memory will continue to uplift us.
May the Lord comfort and give peace to all his family and friends that mourn his earthly loss.
Take care Rich,
Your horse buddy,
Greg
