Thank GOODNESS SassyB did NOT name one her horses Velveeta !!! Whew,, what a relief.......... The white horse I'm riding in one of my pics goes by the name of "Smudge". He has some roan in both flanks and a skull cap,, but not real prominent,,, from a distance it looks like he might need a bath,,,, soooooooo,,, he looks kinda smudged... A favorite from years ago was a roan gelding I picked up and team roped on. He was about 1/4 Clydesdale I'd guess. If he had to eat his grain out of a bucket,,, he would have starved. His name ??? Jughead.... MaskedMan

I am originally from Wisconsin so I have a cheese thing going on: Brie, Nacho, Colby, Jack, and Bleu. Was going to go with beer brands, but as a teacher, thought it wouldn't be appropriate! (Pabst, Leinenkugel, Bud)

Ok, My horse I named Clifford the Big Red Horse. He's very tall and so gentle and my Grandkids feel comfortable with the name. My daughters horse is called JD but it's for Jack Daniels... but, he gets called an assortment of names. Judy

I named my mare PZAZZ To Impress. Her sire was Music To Impress, I worked at PZAZZ Convention Center in IA, so thought that'd be a great name for a horse. It was funny at horse shows to hear announcers' try to pronouce her name... most called her Pee-zazz. My Arab's name was Illiamo Halim, but we just called him Lucky.

I also bought my horse already-named. It is: MD Oracle. MD is for Morning Dove Farm (where he was born), and Oracle because he was their first Blue List/Al Khamsa foal. Oracle means "a foretelling of the future, a prophecy of things to come." When I heard the meaning of his name, and saw that his registration number started with 0321, I knew he was meant to be mine. My birthday is also 0321. It's 18 years later, he's more than fulfilled the prophecy, and I am so glad I didn't ignore the "signs" telling me to buy this horse. Jacquie

Well my two horses that were given to me already had names, Regan is my mustang, and Rosie is my Haflinger mare. I put a Native in front of that since I got her in Osage in oklahoma and it is a big indian reservation over there, and I thought it had a ring to it. Native Rosie. Then Rosie had twins last year,,,I did not want to name them for fear of losing them, but I finally did name them when they were a week or so old, Enapay (sioux meaning 'brave') and does he live up to that name, and his brother Wapi (universal native american meaning 'Lucky'). I named him that for he was septic at 24hrs old, very sick his first week and when he lived through his first week he was indeed very lucky. But lucky was to original. Unfortunatly he died on the surgery table at 11 days old, ruptured bladder. But Enapay is now a yearling and thriving!
