Archers Lodge, NC Not too far off really from our season (well, the East Coast anyway)which runs from May - Sept. Hopefully this will be the last, you won't have a drout & the rest of the year will be a good one (including your trip here). Have you ever been beyond the West Coast (well, Texas?) |

Archers Lodge, NC Wow! Roo-mate, those cyclones just won't leave your beautiful downunder alone, will they? You say the NT is used to the cyclones, but how used to the crocs coming into the city are they? That makes for a scary disaster. Flooding waters is one thing -most wade thru them but shheeeezz, there's no wading with crocs swimmin round looking to make a meal outta flood victims -yikes! Hope they go away with the receeding waters. I never knew Australia got cyclones, much less, so many. It this just the season for them? That's defintely something I'd want to be aware of if I ever got the oportunity to vacation/adventure there. Thanks for the update! |

Weld, ME hey pocomate, animals that survived the floods are fat now,the feed jumped out of the ground when the flood waters receeded, this dry parched sunburnt country needed a drink and the floods certainly provided such moisture, roo |

Archers Lodge, NC LOL! Well Thank you, mickymoo! hahaha! I certainly hope cleanup has gone well for everyone. It's just so unfortunate for those who have lost soooo much! I saw on the news a week (or so) ago that hay was being flown into Montana for a bunch of abandoned horses who used to belong to a couple that did breeding, training, etc. Has Australia received any responses such as that for their animals or even the people? Haven't exactly heard anything on the news regarding your wonderful world from downunder. Hoping everything is back to "normal" as it can be. |
