In Memory of Pam Russell aka gaitedspots - August 3, 2012

Sorry to hear the news regarding 'Spots', a true friend to many on this ES site. Prayers go out to Pam's family, friends and caregivers. May God surround you all with love and strength during this difficult time.

I am so glad she has family and close friends by her side. I am equally glad all her animals will be safe. I know that would be a big concern for me! I just hope she goes peacefully with no more suffering. She certainly doesn't really know how many lives she has touched. Rose

An Update on Pam from her friend Sandi: Another day at the Hospice House and Pam continues to hold on. Her breathing is more labored but she's also more medicated so I pray she's comfortable. We continue to stay by her side so she won't be alone when she passes. Her brother arrived yesterday and today he brought his priest to pray with us. On a funny note, we had the "cat rodeo" last night with only one casualty, Sherry got a pretty good scratch on her cheek. LOL. Six cats safely in carriers waiting for their new homes. Another friend came and loaded up the three doghouses that were in Pam's yard, then she delivered them to Chain of Hope, one of Pam's favorite dog rescue groups. They immediately posted Pam's story and their appreciation on Facebook, and within minutes there was an outpouring of love and caring from other like-minded animal lovers. Pam's pathway to Heaven is now lined with so much love from so many that have been touched by her life. God bless you all!

Oh Pam you are going to get to St. Peters and be with all the rest of our ES friends.... God bless you girl... love Mary

Every time I got the chance to chat with her she was always so nice. May the Lord ease her pain and help her family go on. She will be missed, but will be in a better.

So long, Pam. Tell Rancher and the others we miss them and look forward to catching up someday. For now, I will miss your posts and wisdom. Prayers for a speedy passage into Heaven & for comfort for your family. You will be greatly missed. Vicky

The Lord is taking another great cowgirl angel home. Rest in peace, Pam, and save me a spot on the rail when it's my turn. My thoughts and prayers go out to Pam's friends and family during this difficult time. Jacquie/CCG

I am at a loss for words..... While going through her personal battle I don't think I have ever met a lady so courageous, so full of life and love and joy. I am so blessed to have called her friend for many years and will miss her deeply. May you rest on an angels wing ((((( Pam ))))) ^j^ ^j^ ^j^ Kim
