I feel so sorry for the family and friends who now have to deal with this loss. I hate to see someone take a permanent solution to a temporary problem. Most every time when people do something so out of their nature and character it's because of lack of sleep. We all have driven beyond our capability to do so without nodding off. We all have seen things that were not there. Proving how much effect lack of sleep has on our brain. When loved ones go without sleep we need to help them get that much needed sleep so they think with a clear head. When we hear about guys shooting people and the neighbors saying he was such a nice guy, you can bet the ranch it was because he was living on less than 2 hours sleep for weeks on end. Loss of sleep is cumulative,and it takes more than one night to catch up. I just hope you can spread this information for very few doctors even discuss this or deal with it at all. I talk from my experience of going months without more than 3 hours sleep and having to deal with what that put on my plate, the toughest period of my life. Sleep is taken for granted but shouldn't be,life is hard enough to get through with a clear head. Lack of sleep just pours gas on the fire.
