Heber City, UT I just found out about Ian.
I'm not sure coming back into ES was wise since all I'm learning is of friends dying. :(
I loved Ian. He and I forged a wonderful friendship.
He stayed at my house for a few weeks after he left Colorado. I didn't know him from Adam just knew he needed a home for a while.
He was always the perfect gentleman.
He loved his daughter very much and missed her too.
Ian had demons as we all do. I understand the pain he was in as I struggle myself.
I pray he's at peace and that he knows he was loved while here.
My heart has a huge void.
I will miss you Ian.
Love you,
Judy

Marco Island, FL I am very sad to read this post. I spent a day with Ian when he was in Colorado a few years back. He was kind-hearted and a hard worker. I knew he struggled with his past. But, such a pity for him to have lost all hope.
My thoughts and prayers reach out to his family.

| Looks like you can leave condolences here http://www.chapelofthevalley.com/book-of-memories/1497726/Fisher-Ian/index.php RIP Ian |
| I spoke with Ian frequently over the last couple of years and unfortunately knew quite a bit of his state of mind and thoughts through this process. We had many late night chats that would start with an awful tone and by the end of the conversation I would have felt like we had made some improvements. Ian had a heart of gold and loved to chat and charm the ladies, but he had a trouble soul that eventually won out. I always felt like Ian belonged a free spirit, and I know that this is how he chose to become free. My thoughts and prayers are with all that were close to him, and with his family and his beautiful daughter. |

Chico, CA I feel so sorry for the family and friends who now have to deal with this loss. I hate to see someone take a permanent solution to a temporary problem. Most every time when people do something so out of their nature and character it's because of lack of sleep. We all have driven beyond our capability to do so without nodding off. We all have seen things that were not there. Proving how much effect lack of sleep has on our brain. When loved ones go without sleep we need to help them get that much needed sleep so they think with a clear head. When we hear about guys shooting people and the neighbors saying he was such a nice guy, you can bet the ranch it was because he was living on less than 2 hours sleep for weeks on end. Loss of sleep is cumulative, and it takes more than one night to catch up. I just hope you can spread this information for very few doctors even discuss this or deal with it at all. I talk from my experience of going months without more than 3 hours sleep and having to deal with what that put on my plate, the toughest period of my life. Sleep is taken for granted but shouldn't be,life is hard enough to get through with a clear head. Lack of sleep just pours gas on the fire. |

Montesano, WA Words are not enough at a time like this. My thoughts and prayers go out to Ian's family...Their sorrow must be deep. He touched so many of our lives here on ES. He was a flirt, and a kind sort of fella. Always something nice to say...I'm sure his new journey will be full of great horses and good riding..Be in Peace my young friend. |
