Santa Paula, CA Well we made it through this last wave of storms with minimal damage here in Ventura County.
About the time we start getting things cleaned up we get hit again.
Sunshine yesterday and today. According to the weather man we will have that for a couple more days, then bracing for more come Monday. >>sigh<<
I will be putting up some pictures and videos on my site that I can link you to. I'll do that when I get it done.
Thanks for everyone's prayers and good wishes, they are certainly appreciated! |

Temecula, CA Hi, I'm new here and I too am from southern Cali- the really southern part. We haven't been hit too badly here. I go outside and sink up to my ankles in mud and the horses are double blanketed but everything is still intact. I think it's the first time in my 21 years that I'd ever heard of a tornado- actually a few- occuring down here.
I just wanted to see how everyone is doing after the last bit of rain. The weather officials say it's supposed to let up after tonight (wed), but I guess the only way to know is to wait and see.
Hopefully everyone is safe and saound now. Try and stay as dry as possible and take care. Let the praying continue..

Santa Paula, CA HI Jay!! :-)
Hi Champ! Yes I do believe our drought is over! Yesterday wasn't to bad. Helped some people move their horses to safety, getting ready for the next round.
This morning (Sunday) looks like it might be promising to give us a bit of a break before the next wave hits tonight and tomorrow.
Yes the shavings people are making a killing huh? I am afraid to add up how much I have spent on that!
Take care over there! Best wishes and keep on praying! |

Moreno Valley, CA I too live in So. CA. So far we have handled the mud and rain OK. I am a Christian and we have a prayer chain going for all of us horse people to keep our horses and other animals safe and healthy in this crazy wether. I have gone thre a couple hundred dollars of dry stall and shavings during this rain. It is worth it to keep my horses as comfortable as possible. We prayed for rain and we got it just didn't want sooooo much of it and all at once. Ha Ha. I think our drought is over. |

Ojai, CA I live right in the middle of the worst of the flooding. We are still digging out. We rescued our horses to safety and then found one of mine in a sink hole. See the pictures and link on this site. http://www.horseplaycentral.com/PHflood.htm
Three of the five roadways out of our valley are still closed and it may take may months to open them back up.
We certainly express our heartfelt thanks for all your prayers. We want to reach out to the rest of the country and let you know we are also praying for your recovery from hardships also. The hurracains, tornadoes, ice storms and flooding across the country this past year have been a bit harsher than usual. Vio Con Dios. Jay |
