The bull carries the name of one of the most loving fans in the history of rodeo, Dakota Loniddier. Dakota passed away on June 8th, 2007, but will forever be remembered by the stock contractor she saw as her hero. I just wanted to add this..Kota touched more lives than we might have known..here is something I found on Rodeo Attitude..this is a great honor to Kota..I know she is up there smiling and waiting to see how her bull bucks tonite ..miss ya Kota Theresa "Dakota" Lonadier was the true definition of a rodeo fan. Her physical condition restricted her life but she was always on the Internet checking on her favorite people in the rodeo industry. On Friday, June 8th, Dakota passed away from complications from open heart surgery. On Tuesday before her surgery rodeo stock contractor, Roy Carter, took time to stop in and see her. Roy was one of her special friends. She had told him about her dream to someday be a stock contractor in the PBR. Tom Lonadier, Dakota's dad said she was so happy that Roy had taken the time to visit her and that he knew her last moments were happy because she knew the sport she loved so much cared about her as well. Dakota touched many lifes in rodeo in her own special way. She made a diffference. Roy Carter is bringing a new bull to the PBR in Dallas on June 23rd. The bull is named Dakota's Dream. We incorporated Dakota's post into this post so we can save them... A Message from Parashi - Dakota's family I wanted to share this will all our members so you all know what a difference you have made in her life... God Bless.... Date: 6/12/2007 3:03:46 AM Message: Dakota 123 (Theresa) was my niece.... I am having a hard time finding these words, but will try..... I do not believe that many people could understand just how much this site meant to her. As Im sure you must know, she lost her mother (Linda) last year and had no siblings. She rarely left her home (lived with her dad)and you people were truly her whole world. When she was born, she was born with only 1/2 heart...only 2 chambers, and was not expected to live long. This operation was a long shot, but her only chance as the one seperating valve had split and the main artery was splitting also. Her last words were.."I hope I make it, but if I don't, it's ok, I'm ready".... She had no hatred in her for anyone, only love. To the man from the PBR that visited her just before her operation....you have touched many lives and will not be forgotten. The beautiful T-shirt you gave her is draped on her coffin. I own horses, but am married, but I know what a wonderful group of people horse-lovers are. Thank you, thank you all for being, in essence, a person's world. A good person that will be sorely missed..... love to you all, and may God-Bless Pam ********************************************* hi again, just wanted to say thanks again to all you special people, and I wish I knew how to print all the letters and poems out to make a book for Tommy.... I did copy down the poems that were written for her and will frame them for him, but I don't know if I should do it on Father's day. Maybe I will give them to my Dad (Dakota's granpa) and he can give them to him at the appropriate time. I tried to get in on chat, but either I don't have the option, or I'm too dumb to figure it out :( Tomorrow I will join up and then maybe I can. Goodnite to all.....I'm going to bed down with the horses.....Parashi (pam)

To my ES family: One of the first people to speak to me when I entered the ES community was Kota; in the weeks and months that followed, I could always count on her for a hug, a smile, and a kind word. Her love and compassion seemed to know no bounds. Her warmth and humor blessed all of us. We all are richer for having known her and for the memories we have of her friendship. You know, our best day or worst day tomorrow is only a memory. And our memories are a huge part of making us who we are. I am thankful that my memories include Kota and all of my ES friends. At times like these when we are faced with the loss of someone so dear, we contemplate the brevity and the fragility of LIFE; hopefully, we are moved to do some of those things we always INTEND to do. I want to thank each of you for your kindness and support, for giving me a place to “go” when I need a laugh, a hug, a smile, a wink, some conversation---- just .... TOUCHING--- in other words, some human contact. The friendships I have found on here are precious to me; they help me “deal” with my own loss and so help me to be a better mother/friend to my children. Ultimately our lives are reduced to a single mark on a stone—the dash between the date we are born into this world and the date our soul departs. Our earthly life is not even a pinpoint on the timeline of history. But OH there is an eternity coming—and that eternity knows NO pain, NO sorrow, NO regrets, NO disappointments, NO grief or heartache. The only tears will be those of joy. The Bible says that Precious in the sight of the Lord is the death of his saints. You know why don’t you? Because Death is just a portal to Eternity. You read of when people died in the Bible “and he was gathered to his people” --- Theresa was gathered to her people—her family and friends like Tim. When her eyes closed, at that same instant they opened to look into the eyes of Christ. During our online “wake” for Kota, many of you ‘raised a glass’ to toast her life and what she has meant to you. We discussed different ways we might honor her memory. Here’s a thought—in tribute to one who spread so much happiness and kindness, let us – in ES and in RL(real life)-- offer a cup of lovingkindness to those we meet. It takes so little---little things like a smile, like taking a few moments to let someone know that they MATTER in this world, or something like volunteering to help with a handicapped riding program or visit a nursing home. I believe Theresa will be happy to know that her spirit lives on through her ES friends. Msipigirl~~~Sandra
