His name is Wendell...he came with it...but people that have gotten to know him say it fits him. Before Wendell there was Rawhides Pandar, sire was Rawhides Black Ace E. dam was Sonny Boy's Peanut...Kids were watching cartoons the am he was born and so he was named after one of the cartoon characters...not sure which one. Had many not so flattering names the first few years I had him...SOB, MF'er but over the years they evolved to things like mushy face, big guy and MY BEST FRIEND. Considering at age 7 when our lives joined he wasn't broke, had just been cut, and didn't like people, and he wasn't the horse I wanted to end up with I still say he's the best mistake I ever made.Miss you every day Big Guy

my paint mare's name is jahnee. when i bought her she was named john deere, either after the tractor or the reining competition. she's real lazy so i think it was the tractor. i called her johnny, because that was what the previous owner called her. people at the barn started teasing me about having a mare with a male name, so i changed the spelling to jahnee. that way i could still use her old name and the people coouldn't complain.

I have a 14 y/o Paint gelding named Tough White Trash. I bought him 3 years ago so he already had that name. His 'barn' name is Casper. He's almost all white so the names are very fitting. I wish I could take credit for them.

Tomcat Spider's name comes from Old Tomcat, on his sires side, and Spidersfancycomet, Stud Spider's last daughter. Ochoco Stomper's name comes from the Ochoco Mountain Range in central Oregon, and because he left fetlock got stomped on when he was a baby, but since he has lightning bolts on each fetlock, you could say that when he's running. you can hear the thunder! Tomcat & Stomper are not related, but they are My Boys!

I strated out with a pony that came with the name; 'Cupcake', she was all white. My next horse also came with her name of; Fancy Nancy, aka 'Nancy.' My Father bought me two young Arabians the first one I named Lakota, he was a strawberry roan. The name just to me. The second that I kept was named Satans Desert, aka 'Desert.' He was called Satans Desert because of what my Father said one day while Desert was out running. "That horse looks like he has the devil chasing after him."
